Marie France Van Damme, celebrated designer, hostess and author, pioneered the Orient in the early 1980’s when she relocated to Hong Kong to start her manufacturing company specializing in women’s wear. Throughout her years of travel, Marie France identified a niche in the market for a chic, stylish and complete resort wear collection.

Incorporating her knowledge and experience garnered from designing and producing private label for top retailers in Europe, and inspired by her vivacious and cosmopolitan lifestyle. In 2011, Marie France decided to launch the Marie Van Damme resort wear line geared towards savvy and sophisticated women.

Marie France takes a hands-on approach at every stage of the supply chain - from fabric selections, to fittings, and detailing. Marie France visits her suppliers regularly where she designs and develops her fabrics from the best mills in the countryside of France.

Each piece is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, in Marie France’s small scale atelier, using the finest fabrics and techniques passed down through generations.
Materials
Marie France's in house atelier has a team of up to 20 dedicated seamstresses that make up samples and final pieces day in and day out.
